Parminder Kaur is a PhD candidate in Demography at Centre d’Estudis Demográfics in Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). She is currently a predoctoral researcher and FPI fellow for the period 2020-2024 at Centre d’Estudis Demográfics and assigned to the project “Tendencias globales de la familia: desigualdades de género, sociales y regionales (GLOBFAM)”. Her research focuses on family formation, family dimensions, gender, inequalities, son preference, marriage dynamics, co-residence and gender norms, with a special emphasis on comparative analysis of immigrant diasporas where the country of origin and the host country have marked differences in terms of gender equality practices and attitudes.
